Moss doesn't look like much when you first start looting Dam Battlegrounds, and that's why a lot of new raiders walk straight past it. Big mistake. Once your squad starts burning through revives and healing gear, you'll realise this scruffy green stuff matters as much as half the weapons in your stash. It's light, easy to carry, and tied to the kind of medical crafting that keeps a bad raid from turning into a lobby trip. If you're sorting your route around useful ARC Raiders Items, moss should be near the top of the list, especially before you start taking messy fights around extraction points.

Start Safe Around Formicai Hills

The most reliable place I've found is still the swampy ground around Formicai Hills, mostly in the northern and central parts of the map. It's not glamorous. That's the point. Fewer teams rush it, so you get a bit of breathing room to actually look around instead of panic-looting with someone beaming you from a ridge. Check wet soil, roots sticking out of the banks, and the low plants near shallow water. Don't sprint through the whole area like you're late for dinner. Move in a wide loop, scan the edges, grab what you can, then shift before another squad hears you.

Why the Swamp Route Works

Formicai Hills isn't always the fastest farm, but it's the one I'd trust when the squad's undergeared or low on meds. You can usually leave with enough moss to make the run worth it, and you won't have to fight every raider on the server for it. I like using this route early in a session, when everyone's still building supplies. Fill a small stack, mark nearby cover, and keep an escape path in mind. The worst thing you can do is get greedy and stand in the open sorting your bag while footsteps are getting closer.

Push the Hydroponic Dome When You're Ready

If your team wants a faster haul, the Hydroponic Dome Complex is the next stop. It's packed with better moss spawns, but it's also where raids get loud very quickly. Look inside plant beds, damp growing rooms, broken containers, and the corners where the old equipment has been swallowed by vegetation. You'll often pick up industrial materials there too, which makes the trip tempting. Still, don't treat it like a quiet gathering run. Clear rooms properly. Listen for doors. If one teammate is looting, another should be watching angles, because squads love catching people with their hands in storage crates.

Use Bloom Events and Leave With the Bag

You'll sometimes find moss in raider camps, settlement baskets, and random outpost containers, but I wouldn't build a whole plan around that. It's bonus loot, nothing more. When the map rolls into a lush bloom state, though, keep your eyes open because vegetation spawns feel much more generous. My usual plan is simple: farm Formicai Hills first, then decide whether the Dome is worth the risk. If you're short on supplies outside the raid, some players also check RSVSR for game items or currency support before heading back in, but once you're on the ground, survival comes down to clean routing, quick looting, and knowing when to leave.
