Helldivers 2 Credits Farming Guide: How to Find Massive Stacks
Let’s be real: keeping up with the latest Warbonds in Helldivers 2 can feel like a full-time job if you are relying purely on natural match progression. While grabbing those standard 10 Super Credit pickups during normal missions is nice, unlocking the premium gear requires a much faster approach. If you want to bypass the grind and maximize your wallet, you need to hunt for the holy grail of exploration: the elusive 100 Super Credit "massive stack." It is rare, but with the right loop, you can reliably hunt them down.
Finding these massive stacks efficiently isn't about luck; it is about completely breaking down how map generation works. By optimizing your mission difficulty, picking the right planets, and mastering a specific route, you can turn Super Credit hunting into a science.
The Optimal Farming Setup
Before you even step into Hellpod loading, you need to build a loadout designed purely for speed and exploration, not for fighting bugs or bots. Here is how to prep your diver:
-
Difficulty: Drop it all the way down to Trivial (Difficulty 1) or Easy (Difficulty 2). Don't let your pride get in the way here. These lower-tier maps are significantly smaller, have almost zero enemy presence to slow you down, and completely remove Rare Samples from the loot pool. This heavily skews the RNG in your favor, maximizing the spawn chances of Super Credits at points of interest.
-
Biome Selection: Always target flat, open desert planets like Grand Errant. Avoid jungle, woodland, or swamp biomes at all costs. Heavy vegetation and large bodies of water mess with POI spawn algorithms and actively drag down your movement speed. You want clear sightlines.
-
Armor Choice: Put on your best Light Armor. Look for something featuring the Scout passive. This setup maximizes your sprint speed and stamina regeneration while giving your radar detection a massive boost.
-
Loadout Essentials: Bring a Warp Pack or a Jump Pack. The Warp Pack is especially useful for solo players because it lets you glitch directly through locked doors. For your support weapon, grab something capable of blowing open heavy cargo doors—the Anti-Materiel Rifle (AMR), Grenade Launcher, or Laser Cannon are all perfect choices.
-
Booster: Equip the UAV Recon Booster. This is non-negotiable, as it vastly increases your radar range, allowing you to spot distant hidden structures from across the map.
Pro-Tip on Visual Cues: As you sprint through the map, keep your eyes on the horizon for faint yellow light beacons shooting straight into the sky or listen out for distinct electronic beeping sounds. These always indicate a minor Point of Interest.
Where to Look: Target Structures
Super Credits will only ever spawn at specific minor Points of Interest (POIs). When hunting for the 100-credit jackpots, look out for these three specific structures:
Crashed Escape Pods: These are easily identified by glowing blue or yellow beacons shooting into the air. Walk straight up to the pod, hit your salute emote interaction, and it will open up to grant you a single loot chance.
Shipping Containers: Look for bright orange or blue metal doors half-buried inside mounds of dirt. Do not waste grenades if you don't have to; instead, use your AMR, Grenade Launcher, or heavy weapons to blow the doors clean off. Each container can hold up to two separate loot piles.
Friendship Bunkers: These are the classic two-button vaults that usually force you to wait around for a teammate. If you are playing solo, you can easily bypass the restriction. Either use your Warp Pack to glitch straight through the geometry, or back an Exosuit/Mech tight up against the door and exit the vehicle to pop inside. These vaults offer three independent loot chances and carry the absolute best historical odds for dropping massive credit stacks.
The Speed Farming Loop
Once your setup is ready, it is time to execute the ultimate speed loop. Follow these steps to maximize your credits per hour:
-
Select your mission, skip the cutscenes, and drop your Hellpod directly onto the outer edge of the map.
-
Begin sprinting in a massive, sweeping circle along the perimeter of the map, gradually spiraling your way inward.
-
Keep your eyes glued to the compass bar at the top of your screen. Look specifically for question marks (?) popping up, which reveal nearby, unvisited POIs.
-
Run up and grab all Super Credits immediately. The beautiful thing about this mechanic is that the moment you pick them up, they are instantly and permanently saved to your account across the entire squad.
-
Do not worry about the main objectives, and completely ignore the extraction timer. Surviving the round doesn't matter for this strategy.
-
The second you have cleared out the points of interest on your map, open your pause menu and click "Return to Ship Alone." You will keep every single credit you grabbed, and you can immediately drop right back into a fresh map to repeat the cycle.
